Visiting teaching assignments have changed! If you're not sure who you teach, you teaches you, or who your partner is, contact Kaylin McOmber.

Congratulations to Dave & Camilla Martinez, Liz & Jacob Chapman, and Nicole and Justin Maxfield on getting cast at the Playmill Theatre in West Yellowstone, Montana! They'll be there performing from May to September.

- MISCELLANY -

Our ward has an online employment forum! If you are looking for a job, or know of a job available, check it out here. (There's also a link above.)

Liz Chapman has officially published a book of poetry! She's working on getting copies available in a few places around Rexburg, but in the meantime, you can buy a copy here if you're interested. It will also be available on Amazon Kindle soon.

T-Bird Hartner has coordinated temple attendance. Every week in Relief Society, a clipboard will be passed around where you can sign up to attend an endowment session at the temple. You can go with friends, with T-Bird, or on your own, and she'll text you to remind you.

BYU-Idaho has an "Understanding Same Gender Attraction" group on campus. Those interested in attending meetings to show love and support and to gain greater understanding of their brothers and sisters are welcome. Talk to Liz about meeting times and places.

Are you available to babysit? We'd like to put together a babysitter contact sheet here on the blog, with names of those who can watch your kids! That way, young moms can just visit this site for babysitters. Comment on this blog if you'd like to be included as a potential babysitter, along with your availability. Because this is a public blog, we won't include phone numbers--just look folks up on the ward directory.

- SPIRITUAL THOUGHT -

"In this age of one hour dry cleaning and one minute fast food franchises, it may at times seem to us as though a loving Heavenly Father has misplaced our precious promises or He has put them on hold or filed them under the wrong name...When heaven's promises sometimes seem afar off, I pray that each of us will embrace these exceeding great and precious promises and never let go...God will remember you."

- SPIRITUAL THOUGHT -
(Not from a Church authority this week, but awesome enough to qualify as this week's spiritual thought.)

"It is a serious thing to live in a society of possible gods and goddesses, to remember that the dullest and most uninteresting person you talk to may one day be a creature which, if you saw it now, you would be strongly tempted to worship...All day long we are, in some degree, helping each other to one or other of these destinations. It is in the light of these overwhelming possibilities, it is with the awe and the circumspection proper to them, that we should conduct all our dealings with one another, all friendships, all loves, all play, all politics. There are no 'ordinary' people. You have never talked to a mere mortal. Nations, cultures, arts, civilisations -- these are mortal, and their life is to ours as the life of a gnat. But it is immortals whome we joke with, work with, marry, snub and exploit -- immortal horrors or everlasting splendours. This does not mean that we are to be perpetually solemn. We must play. But our merriment must be of that kind (and it is, in fact, the merriest kind) which exists between people who have, from the outset, taken each other seriously -- no flippancy, no superiority, no presumption. And our charity must be a real and costly love, with deep feeling for the sins in spite of which we love the sinner -- no mere tolerance or indulgence which parodies love as flippancy parodies merriment."

- C.S. Lewis, "The Weight of Glory"
